Carol Ann was a smart and funny lady. Her creative juices never stopped flowing. I enjoyed our friendship, and I have missed her greatly. She is no longer suffering and that is not only a gift to her but a gift to all of us who cared about her. Heaven has gained an angel. RIP Carol Ann. You deserve it.

“Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours out through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.” (Eskimo Proverb) Knowing her regard for Inuit art, I think Carol Ann would appreciate this. I did not know her very long but long enough to know what a kind, generous, passionate and funny lady she was. We shared some adventures the memories of which I will treasure.

So sorry for your loss and sending sincere condolences to the family. I met Carol Ann, in our community, and we both loved gardening, cats, birds, and butterflies. She planted Milkweed for the Monarch butterflies that I raise every summer, so if I ran out, she would tell me to come any time and cut some from her garden and feed them. Her love of Bluebirds and how she fed them every night was special. She showed me her Inuit Art collection and was delighted that she was able to find them a home after she passed. Carol Ann enjoyed playing Mahjong and shared lots of laughs with the neighborhood ladies. She was a lovely lady and we'll all miss her. Carol Ann is in heaven with our Heavenly Father and resting in peace. Sending kind thoughts and prayers to the family during this sad time.

God's Garden God looked around his garden, and found an empty space. He looked upon the earth, and saw a tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. His garden must be beautiful. He only takes the best. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God took you home. Your smile is gone forever and you hand we'll never touch, but we'll cherish all the memories of the one we loved so much!

I am most grateful for the life-time of memories I have of a friendship with Carol Ann. We lived a half block apart in a small Pennsylvania town, and so we grew up together. We walked to school together, went to Girl Scout and church camp, sang in the town's Schola Cantorum and choir, played field hockey, shopped together for clothes, cried over the same movies, danced to the same songs, studied for Latin and French tests together, got rocked about in her family's Volkswagon bus, and shared our heartbreak over teenage crushes. She was always intelligent, elegant, and fun. When our paths diverted, we kept in touch via long letters and occasional visits while she studied and later lived in NYC, worked for Radio Free Europe, found a beautiful life with Chuck in Hawaii, and later a new home in Williamsburg. Recently through emails and pictures she shared her travels to France and Antarctica, her love of Inuit art, her gardens, and her kitties. A door has closed to these many chapters of a wonderful story.

To the Family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Carol has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God's Kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ.
