Condolences for Virginia Mason

While I was at James River Baptist, Ms. Mason was like my grandmother. What a sweet lady , and so talented with a sewing machine. I've been gone from Williamsburg for over 22 years, but still have such great memories of her.

Morris, Glenda, Diane, Hannah and Keith: Your mom, our Aunt Virginia, such a beautiful woman was truly a "Grand Prize" to anyone that ever met her. She always made everyone feel so welcome in her home and was the best cook. Her smile was contagious, she had such a loving and giving heart, she was truly a virtuous woman. She loved getting the family reunions together as she loved seeing and spending time with her family. I cherish the weekend that my mom and I spent with her a few years ago and we reminisced about the good old days. She is rejoicing in heaven now with all of her family and friends. She was so dear to all of Grandma Maude's children, they all loved her so much. Prayers for you all.

Aunt Virginia was dear to our family! Always offering her love and home whenever we were in the neighborhood! We enjoyed rising early to the smell of breakfast cooking, everything homemade! I remember her making me a teddy bear when I was 14 years old and in return I played Christmas music for her! She always wanted me to play piano and record it on a cassette tape for her! I recorded a tape for her of just gospel songs and gave it to her, she was thankful, but did say “ now Nay, you know I wanted Christmas songs on that tape!” Well, I still owe her that Christmas tape! When I meet you in heaven Aunt Virginia, maybe I can play you a Christmas Carol! Until we meet again, I will cherish every memory! May God bring comfort and peace to the family as they endure this sad time and may they all make plans to reunite with you in heaven someday! God Bless & Love Always! Renee ‘

Diane, Glenda, Morris, and Keith, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. The world has lost a very talented, and loving person. Rest assured, that she is walking hand in hand with the love of her life, and all the loved ones that have gone before her, may she rest in peace.

Virginia was a beautiful lady in all ways. I am so glad I was able to visit her with my Daddy (Wyatt) the summer of 2015. I know it meant a lot to him too.
