Dad, I remember having so much fun as a kid at Cedar Point with you...and the surprise trip to the “big ball of string”. I was always scared to ride the rides but you always told me that I’d want to go again when I got off. You were right. Thank you for your love and support...You are deeply missed. Rest peacefully in God’s arms. I will see you again soon. I love you Dad and your memories are close to my heart...

My condolences to the family. I roller speed skated during the time Greg skated. Fond memories of Greg being the late night dj at the rink. Had a big Childhood crush For Lynne. Anyway sad to hear about Greg. Sounds like he had a good life.

Dear daughter, our grandchildren Mikaela and Joshua whom we dearly love, Love, peace and strength to you as you continue life without "dad." We remember Greg's big smile with his infectious blue eyes. We remember his willingness to have as spend 3 months of winter at you house as we escaped "Michigan winters." All the adventures we had with your family are priceless and will be cherished. In his words "when are Nana and Papa coming this year." We will miss you Greg and will hold dear the last time we saw you when you stayed with use last year, we had some good old fashioned family talks. We leave you with this message from Romans 8, v 38-39. Love and God's Blessings, Nana and Papa

Oh Dear Big Brother Greg... My loss for words! It was supposed to be you and I... Not just me. You and Dad were my rock. Loosing Dad hurt, however loosing you, my heart is broke. You used to light up a room when you came in, me and my children love you! This hurts. I feel broke. I have some comfort knowing your in a heavenly place in peace and no pain! Along with Mom, Dad and Big brother. I will carry out the Welty legacy, now and through my children and yours. I love you brother. You little sister! You are already missed by many. The world has lost a beautiful soul!

Greg and I became friends in 1975. We roller skated together and later worked together at Rollerama. After graduating high school in 1981, we moved to Tampa, Florida. We were 18 and trying to make it on our own. We talked about what the future held for us, what career paths we would take. Greg was one of those men who truly lit up a room when he walked in. He was a good man. I'm going to miss him.

I’ve known Greg for 13 years he was my salesman and employee during that time. We had many good times together. He genuinely cared about his family, friends, job and customers. He was a good friend with an infectious smile. I will miss him and his smile.
