Passed Away: December 13, 2021

Ola Gay “Babe” VanDyke Jewell, 90, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 13, 2021, of congestive heart failure. She was born to parents Rosa Street VanDyke and Bennie VanDyke, on March 11, 1931, in Vansant, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Randell Larry Jewell, five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by a brother, Harold VanDyke and wife Betty VanDyke, and a sister, Nola Everson. She is also survived by one daughter, Sandra Musick Holliday and son-in-law Steve Holliday; granddaughter Amanda Musick Jordan and husband Sammy Jordan; grandson Adam Musick; and great-grandsons Wallace and Andrew Jordan.

The family has entrusted Bucktrout of Williamsburg and Hurst-Scott Funeral Home of Richlands, Virginia, with the arrangements. Visitation and service is scheduled for Monday, December 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum – 11800 Governor G C Peery Hwy, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609. Pastor Mike Rife will officiate the ceremony.
