Nigel David Muir of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 11th 2022 at The Hospice House of Williamsburg.

Born in Sydney, Australia on June 11th, 1944, Nigel went on to enjoy a long journalism & public relations career which took him to the UK and the US, retiring to Williamsburg.

Throughout his life and travels, Nigel retained a strong interest in Australia and his family’s connections to literary & artistic circles as well as the Australian National Gallery. He enjoyed golfing, watching the Master’s and not to forget his beloved dog and American Football team, Dallas.

Nigel is survived by his wife Christine, with whom he enjoyed birdwatching and English TV Soaps, his sister Cherry and his children; Natalie, Douglas, Tyler & Alexander and Samantha; his three grandchildren, Skye, Zach & George; great-grandchild Sailor.

Nigel’s memorial service will be on Friday, 22nd April 2022, 11am at the Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg VA 23188 (757-229-3822).
