Myrtice Jenson Meadows, 94, passed away on October 30, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene R. Meadows; parents, Myrtle and Willis Jenson; and brothers, Bardon and Neal Jenson.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Meadows (Susie), Willis Meadows, and Kirt Meadows (Frances); daughter, Jeanette Cooper (Steve); grandchildren, Rich and Matt Meadows, Brett and Luke Meadows and Laura Wingo; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Olivia, Jack, Eliza, Milo Meadows and Cooper Wingo.
Myrtice was a lifelong member at Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir, was a Sunday School teacher, and a member of the LCW. She was an enthusiastic traveler across the U.S. and abroad, enjoyed playing board games with her grandchildren, an avid reader, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Myrtice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A service of resurrection will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7479 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or charity of your choice.
