Passed Away: April 30, 2019
Maureen Werner, age 69, passed away quietly on April 30, 2019 at VCU Hospital in Richmond, Virginia surrounded by her family. She fought Lupus and its many complications for 30 years and was a breast cancer survivor.
Married for 45 years, Maureen is mourned by her devoted husband, Dennis. She was mother to four children (Christian, Matthew, Caitlan, and Meaghan) each of whom had a deep personal relationship with their mother. Her children describe their Mom as their strength and are grateful that she helped them build a strong foundation for life. She will be remembered as affectionate, wise, supportive, and unconditional in her love.
Maureen is also mourned by her two sisters, Joan Corrigan (Sister Eileen Marie) and Veronica McCaffrey, and is predeceased by her brother, James Corrigan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to honor Maureen’s life and to share in the gratitude they feel for having known her. The service is at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 707 Commons Way in Williamsburg, Virginia.
