I work part time at Lackey Free Clinic and it is through the clinic that I met Mary Alice. While I only knew her 9 months, she taught me, through example, the true meaning of grace and courage. Kim Spencer said it best Tuesday morning when she told me "This morning, we lost our sweet Mary Alice." She will be sorely missed by her Lackey family. It is comforting to know that she is finally at peace and with our Lord.

So sorry for your loss. You won't believe this, but Mary Alice is the name I helped to give my little sister because of your Mary Alice. Her mom was my first grade teacher, and your Laura & I were in the same class together. I ran into Mary Alice at U of R. I graduated from U of R in 1981 & have been teaching ever since! This is my 30th yr of teaching. Blessings to you and your family!

So very sad and heartbreaking news. Mary Alice and I worked together at State Farm and those memories are some of my most cherished. Always an engaging smile, never a harsh word, radiantly arriving every day with a determination to make those impossible days pass swiftly. She made us laugh. She made us cry. She was the positive core of our entire small team of weary adjusters and appraisers. Aufrichtiges Mitgef¸hl to Jim, Kaitlyn, Suzanne and your entire family.

Dear Jim, Kaitlyn & Suzanne, My prayers are with y'all along with all of Mary Alice's family. In 1986 when the two of us were working together at State Farm, I found a strong, Christian, sweet and funny person as my friend. We went through a lot together and most of the time we could not stop laughing. I told her a few days ago that we were the "Thelma & Louise" of our time. I know she is with God now and sees her momma along with my own momma. I will miss her walking this earth but know I will see her again. She was truly a good girl, a sweet lady and a beutiful servant. With love and prayers, Pam

Dear Jim, Kaitlyn and Suzanne, I am so sorry about the loss of your wife and mother and my friend. I know that you will miss her. I will miss her too. She was such a good friend and so inspiring. She also had such a sense of humor and could brighten any room with her smile. Oh how she loved her husband and daughters. I knew her as a friend, Christian and colleague and was so blessed to have known her. She coordinated 2 baby showers for me (brown baby display and all) and a farewell party. Truly she was amazing. May God bless you and keep you. I hope that you will find some comfort in this message. Gods peace and grace to you, Janet Edmunds Williams

I am so sorry for your loss. Mary Alice was a wonderful and compassionate woman and one of the sweetest peeple I ever worked with at State Farm. She will be your guardian angel from now on and know she is healed and at peace now. God heals 3 ways: immediately, eventually and eternally. I know she is eternally healed. God bless your family.

Mary Alice was always a lighthearted upbeat coworker. We shared time together at State Farm. I remember her devotion to working out even if it meant changing clothes under her desk so she could work out over lunch! She received a lot of teasing about that and we all got a great laugh from it. My heart is sad at her leaving us. She is a wonderful spirit no doubt creating laughter in the halls of heaven as we speak. Gosh Mary Alice, I miss you already. RIP.

I first met Mary Alice when my car was hit by insurance customer of hers at a time that I worked for Jim. I realized she was Jim's wife and tried to talk her into playing a joke on Jim about having a angry client (me), but she is to kind a person to go along with my prank. I know she will be greatly missed.

My dear sweet friend. How did God put such a big, wonderful personality in such a tiny frame? I will never know. You will never know the impact you made on my life. I have told everyone about you and the life you lived. You are one of the best people I've ever met in my ENTIRE life and I mean that. You always stood for what is right. To see you was to see a true Christian, a true lady and one of God's best angels. Rest in peace my friend. Brian and I will never forget you. Thoughts of you will always bring a smile to my face.

While I did not know Mary personally, I pray that the promise of the resurrection Jesus Christ made at John 5: 28 and 29, and repeated by the Apostle Paul at Acts 24: 15, be a source of comfort to you during this sad time. Take comfort in the promise of a time where there will be no more pain and sorrow, recorded at Revelation 21: 3 and 4.
