George Garland New

George G. New, 72, a lifelong resident of Williamsburg, died Thursday, May 24, 2012. He was employed by Fords Colony for 17 years and was a member of James River Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Kinney, Leonard New, Jr, Edward New, James Coleman New, and Robert Elmore New.

he is survived by his siblings, Johnny New, Susie Hazelwood, Shirley Parnell, Robert New, Ellen Smith, Caroline Carter, Ernest Kirby, Virginia Kirby;

as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 11:00am in the Bucktrout Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Monday evening. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
