Ella C. Abrams, 92, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away on January 14, 2021. She is now at peace and with our Lord.

Ella was born on May 4, 1928 to Ella and Gus Clausen in Brooklyn, NY. She grew up in Malverne NY where she met her future husband while both attended Malverne High School. Ella’s first priority was always her family, staying home to care for them until her children were in high school.

Ella then worked as a secretary to the Principal of Brookville High School, in Lynchburg, starting in 1966 until her husband’s work required them to move.

She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and board games. Her favorite hobby was spoiling the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Ralph Abrams and two children; daughter Nancy Henson of Charlottesville, VA; son Ralph (Debbie) Abrams III of Williamsburg VA; sister, Marian Sullivan of San Jose, CA, sister-in-law Janet Clausen of Venice FL. Four grandchildren; Corrie Kelly (Brendan), William “Chip” Henson (Olivia), Ryan Abrams (Misty), Kari Dotter (Charlie), and eight great grandchildren.

Due to the present COVID19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held in the Spring at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church where she was a member.

I enjoyed being Ella's hairstylist and friend for many years. My Fridays at 10a.m. will never be the same. Heaven has a new Angel.

Its been many years now, but I fondly remember the many enjoyable social and work activities with Ralph and Ella when working at GE. May Ella rest in peace and Ralph continue to enjoy his later retirement years.
