Gifts & Memorial Donations

Donald “Don” Moore, a lifetime fisherman, devoted husband, father, and G-Top, departed this life after an extended illness on March 2, 2022. Don will be fondly remembered as a man of few words and a big heart. He enjoyed fishing, camping with friends, classic rock, cold beer, and time spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Cathy Moore; daughters, Amanda Bloom (Sean) and Jessica Aiken (Tristan); grandchildren, Collin Bloom, Ainsley Bloom, and Owen Aiken; grand puppies, Barkley and Althea; sisters, Mary Louise Burford and Laura Andrews; many extended family members, and cherished friends.

Family and friends are invited to join us in a Celebration of Life which will be held on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, where Don grew up. The Celebration will take place on May 15, 2022, from 1:00- 3:00 PM at 203 Monroe Avenue Cape Charles, VA.

I am so sad to hear of his passing. I have fond memories of him, his brother and of all the cousins I had growing up. Gone but not forgotten. May he rest in peace and God bless his family.

    Sarah Horner says:
I will forever see Don with a beer in his hand saying “hey” in the back yard. His big heart supported us throughout our many years from diapers to firewood when there was a need. Payment was never more than the acceptance of a lemon pie Still can’t fathom the reality of his passing. I know he has gone home and we will see him there one day. Love to Cathy, Amanda and Jessica from the Horners.
