Sherman Lee Moore, 61, of Williamsburg, VA passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Saltville, VA on September 8, 1954 to Edith Irene and Robert Lee Moore. He is preceded in death by his parents. Sherman is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Pamela Kish Moore; two children, Megan Moore (Jason Charles Thomas), Cameron Lee Moore (Kasey Lynn Lyerly); one grandson, Tyson Lee Thomas, who he would talk to about what they were going to do when he grew up, such as playing baseball and driving in his red truck; and his nephew, Brett Varboncouer who was like a son to him. He is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Moore (Paul), Linda Arrington (Joe); nieces, Robin Chadwick (Jimmy), Crystal Arrington (Bryan Housel), and many other loving members of his and his wife’s family.
Sherman loved spending time with his family (and grand-dogs) as well as racing, baseball and antiquing.
A visitation will be held at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188 on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
