Louise Bernice (Nemer) Mabius, passed away on March 15, 2018, in Williamsburg, Virginia. She lived courageously and compassionately-always with a sense of humor- and always with love and admiration from those who knew her. Born in Akron, Ohio, October 2, 1929, she grew up on the family farm in Bath, Ohio, where she graduated with honors from Bath High School. She married Frank Mabius after WWII and raised a family in Akron and nearby Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. They retired to Williamsburg, Virginia in 1983 where they built a home in Seasons Trace and welcomed many neighbors as new homes were built.
Louise joins her husband of 55 years, Frank Albert Mabius; parents, Sam and Asma Nemer; and siblings, Julia, Doy, Sadie, Freda and Ada Mae, in the peace and joy of Paradise.
She leaves her children, Larry Mabius (Kathy) of Boston and Pamela Franck (Sheldon) of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Jennifer and David Mabius (Mihaela) of Massachusetts, Sam Franck (Karen), of North Carolina, Andy Franck (Lauren), of Williamsburg, and Lauren Freeman (Simon) of Rhode Island; and great grandchildren, Jackson, Cameron, Aiden, Carson, Joey, Blake, and Emily, who will always remember her with love and respect for her exemplary life.
The family thanks the staff of Patriots Colony of Williamsburg and the people of Heartland Hospice, for their kind care of Louise and her family. Memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund, at Heartland Hospice Care: 41 Old Oyster Point Road, Suite D, Newport News, Virginia, 23602, or the Patriots Colony Employee Scholarship Fund: 6000 Patriots Colony Dr, Williamsburg, Virginia, 23188.
