Brenda Jane Henderson Rose, age 74, died March 6, 2017.  Mrs. Rose retired from Eastern State Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney F. Rose, Jr.  Survivors include her brother, Jerry A. Henderson and wife Pat as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  The family will receive friends at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 6 until 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service conducted by Pastor Steve Bingham will be held Friday, March 10, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to James City Chapel Methodist Cemetery Association, 7801 Church Lane, Toano, Virginia 23168.

The family would like to thank the ladies of Smith Memorial Baptist Church in addition to a special neighbor, Christy for their continual kind-heartedness and compassion for Brenda.  Arrangements by Bucktrout Funeral Home and Crematory.
